Don’t Undo Your Testosterone Mediated Muscle Gains With Alcohol

According to a study published in the Journal of Strength and Conditioning Research, men who drank alcohol after doing core strength training exercises may not benefit as much as those who did not drink alcohol. Testosterone has a role in signaling a chemical that assists with muscle growth and repair. How Much Is Too Much? While a small amount of alcohol does not seem to reduce the amount of this chemical, larger amounts of alcohol impeded the phosphorylation of Mtorc and s6k1, which is mediated by testosterone.
